I already mentioned in other posts, that I had a project of refashion denim shirts but I got stuck. These are the shirts.
E a parte que utilizei neste projecto:
And those are the parts I used in this project:
When I dissemble the shirt's sleeve and removed the cuff, I got 2 halfs that look like a dress!
So I sewed them, right sides together almost to the top. I turned right side out and made a hem on the top and on the sides, I pulled a white sattin ribbon trought the top hem and I sewed a little flower button in what used to be the open cuffs. The dress was ready to be used!
Then it was embelishement time! I took a pocket, a vintage ribbon and sewed on the top so I hid the button (not sure that is the right word).
I wasn't happy yet so, I embrodered a flower. I use the stem stitch, french knots and one i don't know in english I must check it!
E pronto, vestido mais simples não há!!!
More simple it can't be!!

Belo trabalho, Papgena!
ResponderEliminarHi Papgena! Thanks for visiting my blog! I love what you did with this ... I've never seen sleeves made into a dress before. Clever! I think the stitch name you are looking for is "satin stitch". The one you used for the petals and leaves, right? Have a great day!
ResponderEliminarWow! This is the sleeve case dress! It turned out lovely and I think the flower is a great detail!
ResponderEliminar@Meri: Obrigada! :D
ResponderEliminar@ Hashi: Thank you for your visit too! :D and for the kind words!
I think you are right, that's satin stitch (or double satin because I did two layers).
@ Maya::D Thank you!
But I think the petals could be better!!! Maybe I do them again before next summer!!!
