Ainda mal se foi embora uma onda de calor e já chegou outra!!! :P
Vamos continuar a falar de coisas frescas, então!
Hoje tenho para mostrar esta t-shirt comprida, que comprei no ano passado, na feira de Barcelos, com a ideia de a usar como vestido de praia.
And the heat is still here!
One heat wave was gone and another has arrived already! :P
We will continue to talk about cool things, then!
Today I have to show this long t-shirt, which I bought last year at a fair, in Barcelos, with the idea to use it as a beach dress.
Resultado: usei uma vez e acabou encafuada numa gaveta!
Não pode ser!
Primeira coisa a fazer - descoser toda a parte superior da t-shirt (utilizei o tira-linhas). Ficou assim:
But the truth is that I didn’t like to use it, because it was very close to the neck and had those long straps to make a tie, so the t-shirt had little practical use and was uncomfortable to wear it in the heat.
In result: I used once and ended up holed up in a drawer!
I decided to rescue her.
First thing to do: rip up the entire top of the t-shirt (I used the seam-ripper) and become like this:
Then, still with the seam-ripper, dismantle the straps (I don’t have photos of that part) and cut into 3 cm strips. With the bigger crochet needle, n.º 10, I made a string that I held all around the neckline, with pins.
As I had a leftover, I cut into 1 cm strips and a use them to cover a plastic ring (the interior of a roll of duct tape), which I held in the right shoulder. I hand sew everything, by the wrong side, with invisible stitches.
Este ano já tenho vestido para a praia!! :)
Here it is the t-shirt with its current appearance!
Now I have a dress for the beach! :)
Do not forget: you can still qualify for my first giveaway (August first, at noon) here.
